leather seats in 1993 had “40th” Anniversary embroidery in the headrest area. The 1993 Corvette was
the first automobile sold by General Motors to feature a passive keyless entry system.
The exterior color is called Black Rose Metallic. This color was only
produced for 3 years. In 1993 only 935 Black Rose Metallic were produced out
of 21,590.
Lingenfelter Performance
Engineering conducts ongoing research and development programs with the latest engines from General Motors.
An example of the Lingenfelter
horsepower touch was when Corvette entrepreneur Reeves Callaway contracted LPE to supply the 350c.i. Twin-turbo small-block
Chevy engine that powered the Callaway Sledgehammer Corvette. John Lingenfelter
also assumed driving duties, rocketing down the 7.5-mile course in East Liberty, Ohio at over 254 mph.
