Twin Turbo Corvette This Callaway Corvette started with an order that was placed
by the original owner on January 18, 1988. The order was placed with “Z” Frank Chevrolet 6060 North Western Avenue,
Chicago Illinois. The original order form # 48736 showed the following equipment on this Special Order
Corvette.

The Build
Sheet reflects this Corvette was scheduled for February 22, 1988, with the sequence number 0113111. The
Build Sheet and Window Sticker show ship to Callaway Engineering, 3 High Street, Old Lyme Ct.
The original owner picked up the completed Callaway from “Z” Frank Chevrolet on April
15, 1988. At the time of pick up the odometer had a reading of 52 miles, which is mandatory testing and
validation per Callaway Engineering.
The window sticker reflects an amount of $33,540.
The breakdown from Callaway included, Callaway base twin turbo package $25,895, Turbo Hydra-Matic 400 Transmission
with Laylock Overdrive $6,500, and Optional Leather Interior Package $550. Final delivery cost from dealer
- $63,334.03.
This Callaway was retrofitted with the Aerobody Package when
it was available from Callaway Engineering. The original owner also had all of the mechanical updates that
were offered through 1991, which included the Wonder Bar Air Intake, larger and improved Turbos, Hood Intercoolers Vents,
and improved Thermostat and Radiator. The original owner also opted for the Aeromask.
This Callaway changed hands to its current owner, on May 2, 2000. The only modification has been the addition of parade
strobe lights, as this Callaway has been used to lead several parades and was used at the 2003 Bloomington Gold Road Tour.
This Callaway was invited to 2004 Bloomington Gold Special Collection.
This Callaway
is listed on the Callaway Registry as one of one Aerobody Coupe Automatic Transmission Callaways in 1988. According
to reports, less than 56 Automatic Transmission Callaways were produced on the B2k run from 1987 to 1991.
June 25th 2004 this automobile
was selected for display the Bloomington Gold Special Collection. At this time this car was personally autographed by Reeves
Callaway The Bloomington Gold Special Collection is a group of the automobiles that are the rarest and most exciting
corvettes ever built.
August 17th 2007 GM invited this Callaway to be on display in the Birmingham
Triangle for the 13th Annual Woodward Dream Cruise.
August 2009 this Callaway was part of Geneva Concours D’
Elegance 5th Annual Event which showcases nearly 200 premier antique, classic, and special interest cars from around the world. The purpose of the event,
was to showcase the heritage, artistic significance, and engineering innovations of the automobile.

From The Corvette Black Book by Michael Antonick: "RPO B2K generated a specific equipment build with
standard engines at the Corvette assembly plant. The cars were then sent to Callaway's Connecticut shop for installation of
Callaway-modified twin-turbo engines."
